“After our 1st Coldwaves headlining show I went down to Smart Bar to have a drink. The DJ saw me and thought it would be cool to play Shame. Well as nice as his gesture was, the track almost immediately cleared the dance floor. It was then that I realized that while in our minds we had industrial dance roots, the reality was a bit more alt-rock. I made a mental note to try and create a version of Shame that captured the essence of the song but that embraced the industrial dance vision we had originally had when we formed Stabbing Westward. So last year during Covid Carlton and I spent a couple of weeks putting this Industrial dance club mix of Shame together. I hope it gets some bodies moving.”
